Hi Cheyene,

It's Granny Smith. I wish I hadn't missed you at Uncle Casey and Aunt Diane's. It was doubley nice to see your birthday party pictures on your website because I did not get to hear you tell about the party. Since you have been six years old for almost a week now, does it feel much diferent from being five?

So, Hurray! School is out!! This weekend is the first holiday of the summer--Memorial Day. Are you going to any festivals or to the parade? You have lots of veterans in your family, you know: Uncle Casey, Pappa, Grandpa Boze, and others. In towns, people sell little, paper poppies to raise money to help veterans and to remember them. They chose to use poppies on veterans day for a reason. I bet Pappa would enjoy telling you about it!

Since the weather is so nice now, when I see you at Casey's we should go walk to the lake again. Be sure to remind me. Sometimes I get so all busy and such that I forget about fun stuff like that. I think Hallie maybe old enough to go now, too, if we keep a close eye on her.

So, how is the new house? I am hoping that someone will take pictures of it for you to post; that way we can have a virtual tour.

Tell you Mom I said, "Hi." I hope this is the best summer yet for you!
